Varying-mass Systems . I continue to investigate analytical dynamics of varying-mass systems.
LASR . Visit the LASR lab site. The students and professors in the lab primarily conduct research on dynamics, control, estimation, and navigation methods for spacecraft proximity operations. The teams and individuals also conduct research in vision-aided navigation and conduct investigations on tensegrity structures. The LASR lab site has many videos that showcase their progress.
Pursuit/Evasion and Coalitions . My students and I have an interest studying cooperative pursuit and evasion with incomplete information.
Motion Constants . My students, colleagues, and I have been noodling around with motion constants for some time now. We’ve developed the motion constants for any autonomous linear system. Recently, we’ve looked into relationships between motion constants and time-optimal control, and we have some ideas involving extended linearization. Stay tuned.
